Power Wholesales Sr. Engineer

Purpose:

Ensure reliable and cost-effective energy procurement while maintaining grid stability. It

involves coordinating energy transactions, contract management, and data processing to meet SPPC’s

corporate and operational objectives. Additionally, the role supports in Saudi Arabia’s power system

transition by aligning trading activities with renewable and conventional energy targets in compliance

with policies and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

§ Coordinate with bulk customers and retail licensees to ensure reliable power supply, compliance

with contractual agreements, and effective wholesale electricity sales at regulated or competitive

prices

§ Assist in wholesale power invoicing, including preparation, review, timely delivery, and alignment

with settlement data, while ensuring account settlements and payment collections in collaboration

with the Finance team

§ Understand the technical and commercial disputes related to power sales and purchase agreements

in coordination with legal and other stakeholders, ensuring adherence to contractual and market

regulations.

Qualification:

§ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

§ Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Certification:

§ Professional certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is beneficial § Contract Management certification (e.g., CPCM) are preferred for contracts planning/ management § Procurement Management (e.g., CIPM) are preferred for power purchase management

Years and Nature of Experience:

§ 2+ years of experience in management roles, including power purchase, power contract management, power production or customer relation.

• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Ability to use Microsoft office applications.
• Communication skills.
